Currently, Vietnam is the investment destination of many large domestic and foreign enterprises. Industrial zones (IZs) have made crucial contribution to the economic development of the country. However, it also poses threats to environment and natural resources, which requires transformation into a more sustainable and eco-friendly model.

Meanwhile, enterprises have difficulties in implementing RECP and applying cleaner production approaches because of financial scarcity. According to Ms. Vu Tuong Anh, banks who fund the project would not only expand their market share by having new businesses and improve their investment portfolios but also have positive impacts on the environment and society. Therefore, the training bridged a gap between the enterprises and the banks or financial institutions.
