Within the framework of the project “Implementation of Eco – industrial park initiative for sustainable industrial zones in Vietnam”, on June 8, 2018 , in Da Nang City .Department of Management of Economic Zones, Ministry of Planning and Investment has coordinated with Da Nang Industrial and Export Processing Zones Authority (DIEPZA)  to organize a dissemination workshop ” Resource efficiency and Cleaner production for enterprise ( batch 3 )” (RECP). The workshop was co-chaired by Mr. Vu Quoc Huy – National Project Deputy Director, Deputy Director of Department for Economic Zones Management and Mr. Le Hoang Duc – Deputy Head of Da Nang Industrial and Export Processing Zones Authority. In addition, there were representatives from Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone

The workshop kicked-off by an opening keynote of Mr. Le Hoang Duc, Deputy Head of Da Nang Industrial and Export Processing Zones Authority. According to him, after three rounds of consultancy, training and implementation of measures to RECP in the enterprises in the pilot industrial parks in the province, EIP project has achieved many remarkable results. More than 334 RECP solutions were proposed by the project’s expert in Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone. Of these, 228 solutions have been effectively implemented by enterprises. Some benefit are obvious when enterprises implement the proposed  solution such as reduced the amount of wastewater more than 50,000 m3 / year, reduce CO2 equivalent to over 5,000 tons / year and help businesses save more than 14 billion / year. In addition, the project also organized training course about Chemical Management  for nearly 100 staffs at Hoa Khanh Industrial Zones. In the future, the EIP project will continue to support enterprises to achieve concrete results, bring real benefits for participating enterprises.

At the end of the workshop, representatives from the Department of Management of Economic Zones, MPI and representatives of DIEPZA awarded certificates to individuals and enterprises in Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone have participated in training and practicing  RECP batch 3. Da Nang Diary Factory was honored to receive the Souvenir Trophy from the Project with the best achievements in the application of consultancy solutions,  enhance environmental protection and reduce production costs.
