Yoga Experience

Biography of your instructor

Our instructor for the next 2 days is Suzi Seha, who trained in yoga, advanced breathwork, mindfulness & meditation. A founding member of the Mindfulness Institute of Namibia, a partner in Wellness Retreats Namibia, and owner of Lotus Boutique Yoga Studio and Zen Den Inspired Living Studio, where she works with individuals and groups of adults, teens, and children, teaching yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, and meditation; offering sound journeys, chakra balancing and facilitating creativity and inspirational workshops and retreats. Believing that the energy we give off is what we get back, Suzi’s work revolves around raising the energetic vibrations of the people she works with to shape our inner and outer worlds and our relationship with them, to transform, heal, and empower ourselves. She believes that breath, gratitude, love, and kindness are resources that come from within to be used for the highest good of humanity.

Day 1: Friday Moonraker Adventure Camp

Today, we are picked up at our hotel/guest house at 14h30 for a 15h00 departure to our overnight accommodation located 30 minutes outside Windhoek. We will arrive at approx 15h30, and our driver will check us into our accommodation. The afternoon is at leisure, and you can relax by the pool with a book or choose many of the camp’s optional activities. Whatever we choose, be sure to be back before sunset for our 1-hour sunset hatha flow yoga session at 18:00. In Hatha flow yoga, we flow with the breath through poses which may include sun salutations, standing balances, arm balances, as well as what you would expect in a yoga class. The class will be adjusted to suit the group and ends in savasana or final relaxation. After dinner, we join Suzi for a 30-minute meditation session and some breathing to prepare you for an early night of good sleep. Meditation will be guided and accessible to all levels.

Day 2: Saturday Moonraker Adventure Camp

Enjoy the tranquillity of the bush with your morning coffee/tea in the dining room before making your way up to the studio space at 07:30 before breakfast, where Suzi will guide you through 1-hour of Yin Yoga. In yin yoga, we work on deeper connective tissues and flexibility, not muscle strength or balance. The session is deep and restorative. No standing poses are included. Making your way back up to the studio space after breakfast in the dining room, you will indulge yourself for about 2-hours with breathwork, meditation, and mindful activities. Breathwork includes breathing to relax, balance, stimulate, and perhaps even transform! Breathwork will be included throughout our time together and be tailored to the group’s needs. Mindfulness will be encouraged and included throughout our time together. From ‘mindful moments’ to longer mindful activities, including eating, walking, breathing, and bringing mindfulness into daily activities.
After a mindful morning, we enjoy lunch in the beautiful garden area before we return to Windhoek, where we will be dropped off at our accommodation of choice. You will leave your retreat feeling nourished on all levels. Stretched in both body and mind, embracing your inner and outer landscape.
